Tioga Central Railroad
The Tioga Central Railroad of Wellsboro, Pennsylvania operates excursion and charter trains on a thirty-four mile railroad extending north from Wellsboro, Pennsylvania to a location about three miles south of Corning, New York.
In 2011, regular excursion trains will operate Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from Memorial Day into September. Fall Foliage season begins September 24th - October 22 with trains running daily at 1 & 3pm. Dinner service will be offered Friday & Saturday nights at 5pm. Join us this Holiday Season for the Santa Express now running Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights from November 25th - December 18th. Many additional weekday trains are also scheduled throughout the season. Excursion trains operate from the Wellsboro Junction, three miles north of Wellsboro on State Route 287, to the north end of Hammond Lake in Tioga. Extended rides are available on dinner trains and also the Reservations are encouraged for the excursion trains and can be made online or by phone at (570) 724 - 0990.
Group discounts and special catering menus are available for parties of 35 or more guests. From a bus tour to a birthday party we will work to customize your memorable event. Charters are also available for groups wishing to have the exclusive use of a train or exclusive use of a passenger car.
