Are you interested in becoming a volunteer on the Tioga Central Railroad? If so then you have come to the right place. The Tioga Transportation Society is the volunteer support group for the Tioga Central Railroad. We are a 501C-3 charitable, non-profit organization. Our organization owns the Budd Stainless Steel Deluxe Coach used in the Tioga Central consist. This car was completely restored with volunteers hard work and determination. We hold a monthly meeting at the Wellsboro Senior Center at 7:00pm on the second Friday of the month.
What does a volunteer do at the Tioga Central Railroad? Simply put, EVERYTHING!! From engine crews and conductors to ticket agents and gift shop attendants. Several volunteers also participate in maintenance and restoration of railcars and locomotives. If you have a talent Tioga Central can use it.
How active can I be? As active as you would like. We appreciate everyone that volunteers their time at Tioga Central Railroad.
